IBM Corporation - the agreement on partnership
In August, 1997 R&EC ETU and IBM Corporation signed an official agreement on partnership. On October,28,1997 R&EC ETU was certificated as Qualified BESTeam Software Member, which means recognition of IBM Corporation of the significant scientific and technical potential of R&EC ETU and of high qualification of its employees in the field of introduction and support of IBM decisions.
R&EC ETU takes part in IBM Commercial Developer Program as a registered developer of software on IBM platforms.
Saint Petersburg Electrotechnical University «LETI» (ETU)
Since the day of its foundation R&EC ETU has co-operated a lot in the fields of science and business with the Department of Software and Application of the Computer of the St.Petersburg Electrotechnical University, being the leading one in the field of engineer and magisterial training according to the specialty 2204 "Software of the Computer Facilities and the Automated Systems".
The Department of Software and Application of the Computer is the permanent source of highly qualified personnel of our company. Undergraduate and post-graduate students of the Department have an opportunity to do research work and industrial and pedigree practice taking part in the research and experimental engineering of R&EC ETU of the St.Petersburg Electrotechnical University.
Research Institute of Software
The Institute was founded in 1974 by the order of the Minister of radioindustry of the USSR as the Leningrad Department of the Research Institute of the Automatic Equipment (Moscow) – LD RI AE.
The basic direction of activity of the LD RI AE – development and exploitation of big automated systems of organizational management at a regional level. Nowadays the Institute is a system integrator and developer of computer complexes and automated systems of data processing information and software and is one of the leading companies in the field of information systems and heir components development and service for regional government bodies.
