Open Joint Stock Company «Research & Engineering Center of Saint-Petersburg Electrotechnical University» (R&EC ETU)

Research and Engineering Center was founded in 1990 and united the scientists of different departments of the St. Petersburg Electrotechnical University (LETI) and the specialists of research institutes, engaged in the development of systems of data acquiring, processing, analysis and interpretation.

The main direction of work – the development and introduction of new information technologies, software and means of computer facilities in managing complexes and automated control systems and data processing.

Before December, 23, 2004 the company had an organizational and legal form – State enterprise «Research and Engineering Center of the St.Petersburg State University» (R&EC ETU), which according to the Prediction plan of the privatization of federal property for 2004, the authorized order of the Russian Federation Government from 15.08.2003 № 1162-Р, is reorganized in the transformation form into open joint-stock company «Research and Engineering Center of the St.Petersburg State University» with the establishment of the only shareholder – Russian Federation on behalf of the Federal Agency on federal property management and assignment of «R&EC ETU».
